A Little House on the Prairie Christmas....

A Little House on the Prairie Christmas....

Our 8 year old granddaughter Tatium arrived on Christmas morning with her sister and daddy.

Tatium did not want to take off her coat because she did not like the dress she was wearing, personally I thought the dress was pretty and my first thought was she looks like Laura Ingalls (Melissa Gilbert) from Little House on the Prairie.

I asked her why she didn't tell mommy or daddy she didn't like the dress and she said because mommy bought it so she thought she should wear it.

After a little while Tatium took off her coat and started to open the gifts that Santa left under the tree. When she opened the one big box under the tree with her name on it and found a new quilt for her bed she held it to her face and smiled, hence the picture attached. This smile and gratefulness for a hand made quilt is from a 8 year old.

Christmas it is not about an Ipod, a Laptop or a Playstation, it's about a good old fashion Christmas where a hand made quilt will make a little girl smile and warm your heart like Christmas's did years ago. I will always treasure the feeling of thankfulness, appreciation and love my grandaughter showed all of us this Christmas.
