During the Christmas season, you can buy live Christmas trees and wreaths almost anywhere.
The Boy Scouts have tree sales in parking lots and private retailers open their farms for selling live greens.
We'll love the smells of fresh greens. However, don't you find that convenience wins out over the fresh smells in your household?
I learned many years ago that having live Christmas wreaths and trees make a huge mess and aren't as wonderful as they are thought to be. That's why my family has since purchased artificial Christmas trees and wreaths.
To be quite honest, I am very content with having both of them.
i) The artificial Christmas wreaths will allow you to be much more creative with holiday decorating.
You might used to only be able to put a few decorations on live Christmas wreath because of its flimsy and delicate greens. With artificial Christmas wreaths, you can wrap lights around it as well as bows and anything else you happen to discover
ii) You can change the decor of your Christmas wreath each and every year and never have to worry about needles falling off or it turning brown.
iii) You'll have extra time and money you can put into getting presents and baking cookies
Live greens are outrageously expensive. So having artificial Christmas wreaths does save you dollar and the hassle of shopping around for one. You can simply pack it away Near Year's day and know that it is safe for the entire year.
Don't worry they dont' agree with you at the first. They surely miss the smells of the fresh greens.
Eventuall, they will grow tired of picking needles off of the floors and out of the carpets. That time, they will soon agree that artificial Christmas wreaths are definitely a wise decision, though it pout about it for the first season.
You can wrap hlights around your artificial wreaths, or hang the wreaths above your fireplace where you haven't dared to hang any live greens. That way, your living room can now look just as festive as any other room in your house.
I don't know about you. My family agree that the artificial Christmas wreath looks very good hanging above the fireplace with the mantel decorated with lights and decorations.
You can have them go with you to purchase more artificial Christmas wreaths for different rooms in the house. I guess that they will finally understand the logic behind getting away from fresh greens.
When you watch they help you decorate the new Christmas wreaths when you get home. Miracles do happen!
