Penguin Race:

Divide the kids into two teams. The players at the start line should put put a ball between their knees and waddle to a designated spot and back. Ask the next one in line does the same until all kids have had their turn. If the ball is dropped, they must return to start and begin waddling again. The team that finishes first wins.

A great child Christmas party game full of fun. Have kids create a picture of a reindeer's head. They can draw it or use construction paper. Tell them draw an outline for the nose, but don't complete it. They'll want the picture to go on a wall or flat surface. They'll also need to make noses to be placed on the picture. You can use use different colors for each child so you can tell who place which one where or just number the noses.

Then, give each kid a nose. Have them use tape on one side of the nose so it sticks to the board. Blindfold the first round players and spin them around 3-5 times, (so there a little dizzy) now point them in the direction of the reindeer (2-3 feet in front of it) and tell them to walk forward and place the nose on the reindeer. The one closest to the actual reindeer noses wins!

The next player repeats the first object and adds any object beginning with B continue the game through the alphabet. Start again at "A" if there are more players than 26 letters.

 

Three-Legged Sock Race:

Have the child's pair up and give each pair an oversized stocking. Then they need to stand side by side and put their legs facing inward inside the oversized stocking. Tie the stocking at the top so that it won't fall off. Have each pair at the starting line. Who can race to get to the finish first wins (on a ring of a bell), see who can race to get to the finish line first.
