How To Setup Christmas Tree Lights For Your Winter Holiday Place?

What do you choose to do with the Christmas tree lights?

No matter what is your choice:

Whether they are carefully wrapped around the branches or making normal and everyday household items look festive and elegant, you'd better have a way with everything you're touching.

When I was a child, I thought that the lights on Christmas tree were the most gorgeous things I'd ever seen.

I can still remember sitting in front of the decorated Christmas tree, completely fascinated.

My father would turn off all of the lights in the family room and let the tree lights give the family room a peaceful and serene glow.

Though I'm not a little kid any more, I decorate my tree the same as my parents and I used to, wrapping the Xmas tree lights around the branches and hiding the cords as well as I could.

How Christmas Tree Lights Are Developed?

Do you know that New York city’s first Christmas display of lights was shown in 1882 with eighty, red ,white, and blue, flashing light bulb colors to light up the Christmas holiday season?

Here is a mini history of Christmas tree lights...

Stage One: The candles, then glass covers with candles inside or metal lanterns with small wicks hung on the Christmas tree branches like ornaments. But they were a fire hazard and buckets of water were usually kept nearby the Christmas tree!

Stage Two: The electric Holiday tree lights came to the market after the invention of the incandescent electric light bulbs with a carbonized filament in 1879.

Stage Four: A new development which produce the light gives a whiter light and gives out 3 times as much light as the early carbon electric lights ( for same amount of electricity) - it is the tungsten filament light bulbs!

Stage Five: The next improvement was the coiling of the tungsten which gave more filament in the same space of the bulbs thus more light. And Edison electric soon followed with an electric Christmas lamp.

Until Today: The technical advances in the manufacturing process of the artificial Christmas trees has created easy to assemble, realistic looking, beautiful pre-lit Christmas trees, with Christmas tree lights already strung on.

Christmas Tree and Lights

Ok, let's back to my topic...

How to setup a wonderful Christmas tree with lights?

You or someone in your home should be in charge of putting the Christmas tree in the stand and make sure it is standing perfectly straight.

Then you'd step aside and let another person take over or keep yourself work on it.

Carefully wrap the tree lights around the braches, making sure to hide as much of the cords as you can. And hum Christmas carols softly to yourself.

After you're are satisfied that all of the Christmas tree lights are absolutely perfectly placed and the cords are hidden, you'd plug them in.

Next, you'd put all of the ornaments on the branches, carefully spreading them all out evenly. I suggest you take some extra time to put the crystal and glass ornaments near a bulb, so that the glow from the Christmas tree lights would shine through them.

That way, they look beautiful.

If there were any extra strands of Christmas tree lights leftover, I would use them to decorate the banisters or wrap around the mirrors (Often, I make a point of buying extra Christmas tree lights to decorate things around the house).

And that's it, you've made a wonderful Christmas tree decoration.

Play holiday music, close your eyes, and breathing the fresh pine smells. You'd appreciate the simple things that represent the Christmas holidays!
