First, evaluate your picture.
Is the background bare or wintry looking? If not, you may want to cut out your critters and place them on a scenic holiday card instead. If you can embellish the picture as it is and make it look Christmassy, then you can simply glue the entire thing to a piece of folded card stock or a blank greeting card to continue.
Once you've got the basic set up, the next step is to add the details.
In this horse Christmas card example, each horse was given a set of antlers and a shiny red nose, while the fence and tree limbs received a dusting of snow. Want other ideas? How about wreaths, bows, or Santa hats! You can find these embellishments with Christmas craft supplies during the holiday season, or just print your own from home and glue them in place.
After you've got your critters decked out for Christmas, all you need to do is add a personal message to the inside and your horse photo cards are ready for the mailbox!
If you have thrown the coolest Christmas party, tell us about your ideas. You'll have the chance to win an iPAD2!
