Kid Christmas Party Game Ideas

All the kid Christmas party game ideas on this page are related to the most common thing we know about winnter seaon - the snowball and ice!

You'd better organize these active Christmas party games out of doors or in the large hall, becausing while playing the games, children need to run, catch each other and throw the snowball.

Hot Snowball: One of the great kid Christmas party game ideas using real snow. Help your kids make a snowball or two ahead of time and freeze them till they are very hard. Don't worry if you don't have snow. You can freeze water in a white balloon ( a good idea that you can keep the kids from getting wet as the ice melts). Then have the kids put on their mittens. Put on some music and start playing hot Snowball. "The hot snowball goes round and round. To pass it quickly, you are bound. If you're the one to hold it last. The game for you has quickly passed. Out goes Y-O-U!" The children sit out the rest of that round. And they'll love to get to wear their mittens.

Indoor Snowball Fight: This time, don't use the real snow! Make snowballs from a few white nylons and cut each leg into three or four pieces. Then fill each one with fiber fill stuffing and knot the open ends. You can also have kids use rolled-up socks, crumpled up newspapers, toilet paper, etc. Do you mind getting all messay in your area? If your answer is "I can take care of it", then have children take each piece of white nylon, tie one end, then put flour in the nylon and tie the other end. Make as much of these "snowballs" as you can and have kids fire away in two teams!

Marshmallow Snowball Toss: One of the easiest kid Christmas party game ideas. Pair up the kids. Give each pair 10 marshmallows (5 each). Have them stand a few feet from each other. Each player tries to toss the marshmallows into his teammate's mouth. The team that catches the most wins.

Melt the Ice Cube: Give each child an ice cube. Have the players melt the ice cube ...but without putting it in their mouths! It's fun to watch that they breathe on it, sit on it, hold it in their hands. Don't forget have towels ready for their cold wet hands.

Outdoor Snowball Fight (with no snow): Every young player will love these kid Christmas party game ideas, especially when you prepare the snowball with them. Fake snowball making tips: Take pantyhose, preferably white, and cut into sections. Tie one end of it and fill with flour, then tie the other end. Ok this is your snowball! Then have two "bases" set up on separate ends of the yard, have the snowballs in a bucket or container and let the children fire away. Warning: This does get very messy but the kids love playing forever.

Snowball Relay: Cotton balls can also be your snowballs in these kid Christmas party game ideas. Divide the young players into two teams. Each kid get a plastic straw. Then prepare a small box for each team's snowballs. Place a large box full of cotton balls about 8 to 10 feet in front of the young players. On the signal "Go", have the first two kids run to the box of cotton balls and pick up a cotton ball (by drawing air through the straw), and take it back to the team box. When the cotton ball is released into the team box, the next kid goes. If a child drops the cotton ball while on the way returning, he must pick it up with his straw without hands, then continue to the team box. The team finish the job first wins. Another variation is to have the players blow the cotton ball to a specified point and then suck it up and return to the starting line.

Snowball Pickup: Blindfold the kids, designate a time limit, and have them pick up cotton balls strewn across the floor, and put them in a bag.

Snowball Hockey: Again, in these kid Christmas party game ideas, you'll need a cotton ball and the kitchen table. Seperate the kids into two teams, and have each team hold hands on either side of the table. The teams can only use their breath (no hands or arms or feet) to keep the cotton ball on the table at their end. The team blows the cotton ball off the opponent's side of the table scores a goal. Don't forget to mark the table with a piece of tape.
