Snowman Christmas Tree

I have a one year old son and he is just now really getting into everything. I have been getting ready to do some holiday decorating and putting up the Christmas tree.

I wanted to do something different for our Christmas tree this year because I didn't want to worry about my son pulling ornaments off the tree every time I turned my back. I came up with the idea to decorate my tree without any ornaments.

I decided to turn my white Christmas tree into one huge snowman. I put lights on the tree then wrapped white mesh ribbon up and down the whole tree. I tied a red ribbon around his neck for a scarf and glued black pom-poms for eyes, nose, and buttons. I made a carrot nose out of pipe cleaners and made him a huge cardboard hat.

My children love the huge snowman standing in our living room and my son hasn't tried to mess with it either. I think our snowman Christmas tree turned out to be a success.
