I fell in love with the collection of Precious Moments characters. Their full teardrop eyes are enough to make you swoon. I started by getting one Precious Moments Christmas ornament that is the standard in holiday decorating. This ornament comes in three pieces and it represents the nativity scene. The characters are lovely and I find that this is one of the most simple but most moving nativity scenes I have come across over the years.

Following the first purchase I found a "They followed the stars" Precious Moments Christmas ornament that represents the three wise men. Each of the wise men is on a camel and the whole set really goes perfectly with the original Precious Moments Christmas ornament that I purchased.

I have received several other items that fit my new theme as gifts. I am gradually weeding out my glass bulbs and other holiday decorations as I receive more items that suit the new theme. Soon the collection of holiday decor will be completely built around the first Precious Moments Christmas ornament that I bought.

The process will take a lot of time but I think that I have made a great start with the help of friends and loved ones who add to the collection every year. This holiday season I am going to add a new Precious Moments Christmas ornament that I adore.

This ornament has a family of four sitting around the fireplace. It is called "The Night before Christmas" and it is perfect for the collection. Hopefully, there will be another Precious Moments Christmas ornament or two added to the collection this year.
